Summer of Guests

This summer has definitely been a full house!
Since March, we have had guests in and out of our home.My aunt from Honduras came back in the beginning of March and spent two months here. A majority of that ti me was spent over at my mom's house though but she stayed with us for about 3 weeks. She is always fun to have and makes great food!! Then only 2 weeks after my aunt went back home, her daughter, husband and son came.
Yesterday her husband went back, but my cousin will be staying until Aug 14 with me.
THEN! Robbie dad came for a few days to visit with us last week. It was nice seeing him, although it was brief. Robbie hasn't seen him since January. We will see him again on Thanksgiving. Also at the same time Robbie's dad came to visit.. his Aunt from Texas flew in as well! She is staying right now with Robbie's younger sister and next week, she will come stay with us for a few days! It has really been nice seeing everyone, since s ome of them we haven't seen in over 2 years. Here are a few highlights from this summer., along with some new belly pics of me at 23 weeks:)

Cloth Diapers

Well, I was online today and made an impulse purchase. I was reading celebrity mom blogs cause that's what I do...... lol and one that I follow pretty often is Constance Marie (you might know her as the mom from George Lopez Show) Anyway, she was raving over these cloth diapers she uses. I figured she's probably just raving about them because she is getting free cloth diapers from that company for life now..just by mentioning it but after like 4 hours of research and consumer reviews, I decided that it wouldn't hurt to buy like a 6 pack for now and if I end up not liking them then oh well.. disposable it is. You do save a ton of money with cloth and they have really come a long way as far as durability and even style. There are a lot of really pretty patterns and colors to choose from... not that I'm going by just that, but you got to admit that these diapers are pretty fashionable. They are little pricey up front but your really making a one time buy because the kind I got are one size and adjust as your baby grows all the way up to potty training time. Its win win, but we'll just have to see. I will let you know later when I actually use them what I think!!

18 weeks

Oh my gosh, I can't believe it's been so long since I've written! Things have just been super hectic. I can't believe summer is almost here! Before you know it, I'm popping this baby out! LOL. Well as many of you already know ( because like a dummy I never got around to posting my gender announcement on my blog!) We're having a BOY!
I was fortunate to find out pretty early, earlier than most I guess, I think you don't usually find out until at least 20 weeks but we found out at 16 weeks! thanks to my doctor who just so happens to be soccer buddies with Robbie. So he was nice enough to let us know early!
I'm going to be completely honest! I was really hoping for a girl! Only because robbie's sisters all have boys and I wanted to change it up... but of course that's not up to me! My mom wanted a girl too, she even asked the doctor if another test will be performed later to "make sure" it really is a boy! omg!The doc was like no no, i'm pretty sure its a boy! embarrassing!
well..... of course we are happy he is healthy and that really is the most important thing right now, no matter the gender!
Since Robbie has pretty much told everybody what he is naming our son.. (for those that know us, already suspected what the name would be) I guess it really doesn't matter at this point in keeping it a secret from the rest of the (internet) world! We are naming him after Robbie. Robbie is actually the III, so it was only fitting we name our son the IV. (I had no say in this) BUT!!!!! I did have a say in what we actually called him! So that was a plus. So Robbie's name is Robert William McMillan III -- he goes by Robbie, his dad goes by Robert, (even though his family calls him Rick John--Don't ask!) and his grandfather went by Bob.. SO....... I came up with Liam. (middle name William- short makes Liam) I am super pleased with this name and am glad we could agree on that.
Aside from that, nothing new is really going on. My next appointment isnt until June 25. Some days my belly seems bigger and then other days its like it went down. I don't know. I know that it will eventually pop out and I am going to wish for the days when my belly wasn't that big.. but as of now its still just looks like a ate a big lunch .. haha!
well I will continue to keep you updated!

A New Car, Getting closer to the halfway point, and the Lost Finale all in one week!? WOW!

Baby news-I cannot believe how fast the time is going! Pretty soon I will be able to feel the baby kick! I can't wait!!! Next Wednesday I go in for a checkup and they are going to try and tell me the sex! It all depends on if the baby will be positioned well, otherwise I will probably have to wait until about 20 weeks. But that is only a month away! I hope that we will know something next week though, fingers crossed!!! Not much nausea since my last post. Only one day, but it was more just a horrible headache than anything else.
In other news-, last Wednesday, we spotted this great looking "and very inexpensive" car at a car dealership. After talking it over, we decided it was too good of a deal to pass up so in a blink of an eye the car was ours!! It all happened so fast I just couldn't believe we had gotten a car! We desperately needed a new car. My car is still in good shape but with the baby on its way, a larger suv size car just seemed ideal for us. Here is a pic off the internet I will try and post a real pic of the car later. But it is pretty much what it looks like:)
LOST news- for any of you that know me, you know that LOST is my favorite show!!! Well it is soon coming to an end and I am having a LOST finale party on finale night which is Sunday. LOST is so dear to my heart because it is constantly making you think. No other show on TV does that. Its mysterious, heartfelt, scary, cheesy, funny, dramatic, all in one. I have never had to actually take notes while watching a tv show in my life until this one. And the mystery of the show is without a doubt the only reason I still watch. I am very sad that its ending but very happy to finally get some answers!
